For Sale - Della Contessa (NZ) by Tivaci from Lucinda (NZ).

Approximate Height - 16h Bay Thoroughbred Mare 6yo.

Description - Awhina was born in New Zealand, went to yearling sales over there and then started in an Auckland stable.

'Fee' then made her way to QLD where she trialled but never raced.

After trialling they tried to breed with her in QLD where she tore her cervix when being served. 'Fee' then made her way to Myalup WA and attempted to serve her again with the same outcome. In this case Awhina cannot ever be a brood mare as even AI then foaling could have the same effect and the risk is too high. I took Awhina on for her old owners after she came to WA and failed to be a broodmare. I took her in the hopes of getting her back into work and potential next ridden horse but I just simply do not have the passion for horses anymore.

Awhina has done ground work with me taking it slow after having two years off work. Awhina has a lovely soft mouth on the long reins, she has such a chilled nature and beautiful uphill gaits. I have sat on 'Fee' and she's been super sweet more woah then go. But unfortunately I'm just not into horses like I use to be and she has mostly been sitting in the paddock.

I absolutely adore this mare but she's going to waste and I don't see myself getting back into horses like I used to be. Unfortunately she has drawn the short straw.

Only vice is a Windsucker but controlled completely by miracle collar.
