Description - It is with a heavy heart that I advertise "Pearl" for sale.

Pearl had one trial but never raced and retired sound. Good for the farrier, dentist, to worm and floats well in both straight load or angle load. Usually self loads but can be stubborn at times if not floating regularly. Pearl can be quirky so is not suitable for nervous riders and does need someone experienced with OTTB, who has a firm but fair hand on the ground as she can get pushy when anxious or overexcited. I bought Pearl straight off the track as a 3 year old, and in that time I mostly worked with her at home trying to establish a bond and gain my confidence with her. She has attended a showjumping training day, adult riders, and casual rides out on the roads, where she was calm and sensible. Pearl has the basics established, works in a frame and has shown keenness for jumping. She can be a little dull to leg aids but has a soft snaffle mouth and tries hard under saddle. Pearl is still very green and needs an experienced rider who won't let her get away with anything. Pearl is a good keeper, and has always been well since I have owned her. Pearl sustained a paddock injury to her near hind in April this year but it has healed exceptionally well and she is sound. She has not been in consistent work since her injury but came back into work without fuss. Fine legs and a beautiful big big apple bum, very pretty. Pearl can be very marey, which is what I struggle with but I think in the hands of an experienced horse person looking for a nice chunky type I think she would excel in the right home. I am happy to discuss her quirkiness further.
