Approximate Height - 15.3h, Bay Thoroughbred Gelding 7yo.
Description - We brought Pumba in the hopes he would make a good polo horse but unfortunately he isn't suitable for the game and therefore is needing to be rehomed. At home he has impeccable ground manners, will follow you around like a puppy dog, never walking over the top of you or pushing you around, he loves a cuddle and to be doted over so we feel he would best suit being someones sole or second horse where he can get that extra loving ❤️ He was previously owned by a farrier and is currently owned by a farrier and your farrier will love him too! He is soft footed so is best to be shod at a minimum on the fronts if working on harder ground, he does have good feet that dont chip easily or fall apart. He is easy to rug, worm, float/truck, tie up, ect.
I love riding this boy, he has three free flowing paces, a very comfortable canter, he responds well to the seat and leg aids and is soft in the mouth. He can get keen and strong and needs a confident rider who can help him through situations he finds overwhelming. He was a bush hack before we got him and he has done a lot of road riding/leading with us, he can be spooky and try to turn for home. He has a very nice jump, however has only been jumping small to get his training right from the beginning. He is generally a good doer, currently on the lighter side due to workload from polo and summer but is steadily gaining the weight back on.
He recently attended a show jump day where he competed 30cm and 40cm, he was quite nervous and a bit stressed with the new environment so we took it as it came, he jumped really well and settled into the day. He needs a rider who will be firm but forgiving and help him work through his stress until he becomes more confident in competition environments.
NOT suitable for beginners or nervous riders as he is green and needs further education for desired discipline.
