Description - Ollie retired from racing 8 years ago and I purchased him from a breeder 7 years ago. The first few years we had lots of fun trail riding, beach visits, adults riders, clinics, some natural horsemanship. Over time he developed soreness in his back which was being managed with regular chiro and body work. After he sustained an injury to his hoof in the paddock (completed healed) he seemed uninterested in being ridden again. As an inexperienced rider I didn't have the knowledge or time to get him back into work again and with a heavy heart I retired him. He has been spelling for around 3 years now. He is happy and healthy although I rarely spend time with him now and life has gotten busy with work and study commitments. I would like to find him a new forever home. His ideal owner might be someone that wants a pet or companion rather than a riding horse. He may come back into ridden work for someone but I suspect it would take some work ( a vet crated and suggests he might have very mild kissing spines and with exercise would develop his muscles again to support him for being ridden) although I have lost the passion and energy I had. He would enjoy company with other horses, spending time with a human, brushes, walks, beach.
