taking a good photo

  1. When taking photos of your horse, please have someone to hold the horse and the other to take the photos.

  2. The use of a plastic bottle or something interesting that will make the horse put their ears forward is also useful.

  3. Always make sure the sun is behind the photographer.

  4. If you are taking a photo side on make sure the horse is square on to the camera, ie not making head look big and bum small and vice versa.

  5. Take lots of photos so you can go through and choose the best ones.

  6. If there is lots of flies, spray the horse prior to taking pictures.

  7. Make sure horse does not have a fly veil or rug on for photos.

  8. Remember to try and take photos in a nice clean/tidy background.
